Last updated October 15, 2026

Fort Collins ran Flock on a contract its purchasing director signed in September 2024 with no council vote. After a public campaign, council voted 6-1 on June 16, 2026 to stop collection and remove the cameras; the last came down July 7. The city keeps other, older plate reader technology, and a citywide surveillance policy is scheduled to reach council December 1, 2026. The Larimer County Sheriff still runs 49 Flock cameras around the city, shared with about 1,200 agencies outside Colorado.
