Longmont council voted 5-1 on December 9, 2025 not to renew its Flock contract and to halt data sharing with outside agencies. On March 24, 2026 council voted unanimously to move to Axon, with local data control, continued transparency reporting, and a one-year council review. A Technology Policy Advisory Board on data privacy, AI and surveillance technology is expected to be seated January 1, 2027, with recommendation authority only.
