Castle Rock, Colorado

Last updated August 24, 2026

Castle Rock police own and run 32 Flock cameras installed in 2021; they are separate from the Douglas County Sheriff's network. In July 2026 Town Council asked staff for a report comparing Flock's data policies with competitors after a councilmember raised concerns that "the data is owned and managed by a private company." Immigration enforcement is not on the prohibited-use list on Castle Rock's Flock portal.

The portal publishes no data-sharing list. Castle Rock PD appears on Englewood PD's published list of agencies with access to Englewood's data. No price or contract dates are public for the 32-camera contract; a separate drone contract costs $200,000 a year for three years. Community maps show more pins because they include duplicates, mobile units and private cameras.
